Richard E Potesta, 87, born in East Chicago, Indiana, peacefully departed from this world at home on October 7, 2023. Richard’s life was marked by adventure, love and unwavering spirts. He was a veteran of USAF, retiree of Inland Steel, and lifetime member of the Cesare Batista Lodge #27.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and loyalty for many that will be cherished forever.
Richard is survived by his wife Maggie(Margaret), daughters Dawn Tasher(Rick), Dana Salvatore(Greg), son David Potesta, grandchildren Aaron Tasher, Sara Roberts(Bryan), Megan Tasher, Jacob Tasher, and great granddaughter Rae Lynn Roberts, his brother Ralph Potesta (Cindee) and many nieces and nephews, and a large family of relatives. Richard was preceded in death by his sister Rosemary O’Malley and his son Gregory Richard Potesta.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
