Ramona H. Lira

Ramona Lira, 96 of Mesa, Arizona,passed away on April 11, 2015 with her loving family beside her. She was born in Guerro, Mexico on July 1, 1918 to George and concepcion Gutierrez Hernandez. Ramona raised her family in Morenci, Arizona and eventually they moved to the Valley and settled in Mesa. She is survived by her children; James (Esther) Lira, Raymond Lira, Tillie (Paul) Aguilar, Esther Chavarria and Rosie (David) Lancieri, 19 grandchildren, 40 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 am with a rosary prayed in her name and memory begining at 9:30, Holy Cross Catholic Churchm 205 Fairbanks Road, Morenci, Arizona 85540. Immediately following the Mass, Ramona will be laid to rest with her husband, Albert M. Lira, who has been awaiting his wife since 1982, at the Bunker Hill Cemetery in Morenci.
