Phyllis Arlene Stewart

Arlene was born November 26, 1935 to Charles and Phyllis Wimer in Wellington,

Kansas. She married Thomas E. Stewart on November 14, 1953 in Greensburg, Kansas

where they lived until 1962. She moved between Kansas and Texas then to Minnesota

in 1970, all with Tom's employment with Northern Natural Gas Co. Arlene was a nurse

in Texas and Minnesota before retiring. She moved to Mesa Arizona in 1989.

She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, sew, cook, play cards, dice and bingo. She enjoyed taking long vacations with her family over the years and weekend camping trips. Arlene took pride in her family and has always been a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her spirit and kindness will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Charlene.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Tom, her children Quinton (Amy)

Teresa (Mark) and Cloris (John), 7 grandchildren: Stephanie, Tyler, Kristen, Megan, Morgan, Parker, and Damara, 9 great grandchildren, “adopted grandchildren”: Colten and Kimberlee, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation 10:00am Tuesday, January 30, 2018 followed by funeral at 11:00 am, Holman Howe Funeral home in Hartville, MO. She will be laid to rest at Competition Cemetery following the funeral. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 7, 2018, Mariposa Gardens, Mesa, AZ
