Phillip Lee McGinley, age 84, passed away on May 19, 2021 in Chandler, Arizona at Hospice of the Valley - Dobson Home. Phillip was born on November 16, 1936 to parents Victor and Berniece (Phillips) McGinley on a farm in Gentry County, Missouri. He graduated from Stanberry High school in May of 1954. He then worked and the cap factory in Stanberry, Missouri then Lloyd chain in Maryville, Missouri and Maytag in Newton, Iowa. While Farming in Missouri, Phillip was drafted into the Army in January of 1960. In April of 1962, he was honorably discharged from the Army. After the military Phillip went to work for General Motors in Kansas City, Kansas. He retired form there in 1975.
Phillip met the love of his life, Banetah Coffey in 1959. They were married in May of 1960 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together they had 4 children; Phillip Jr., Melita Sue, Archie Alan, and Lloyd Wayne. Phillip and Banetah found joy in traveling the states in their motor home. As well as travelling to many places out of the country. Phillip was a very generous person and was always willing to help people in many different situations. As he got older he really looked forward to game night with his friends. Phillip was apart of the Masonic Lodge in Stanberry, Missouri, the Ararat Temple in Kansas City, Missouri, American Legion in Stanberry, Missouri, and Elk's Lodge in Maryville, Missouri.
Phillip is survived by his beloved wife Banetah. His children; Phillip Jr., Melita Sue and Lloyd Wayne. Two grandchildren; Benjamin VanVactor and Zachary Lawson. His sister; Marilyn Peterman. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Victor and Berniece. His son Archie Alan. Two brothers; Lloyd Eldon and Vernon.
A memorial service will be held in Stanberry, Missouri (dates will be updated soon). Phillip will be laid to rest High Ridge Cemetery in Stanberry along side his parents and Son.
