Paula Kay Louise Hildebrand

Paula Kay Louise Hildebrand was born in Phoenix, Arizona, October 7, 1970 and died October 25, 2010 in Tempe, Arizona. She was the daughter of John and Katherine “Ginny” Hildebrand, and mother of Katie Hildebrand. She spent her early years in Phoenix, after which she moved with her family to York, Nebraska where she attended Elementary and Middle School. After the family returned to Arizona in 1985, she attended Mesa Junior High School and graduated from Mesa High School in 1989. Paula is known by the people she befriended at work, in her neighborhood, and on the streets, and to the customers she served at Pro’s Ranch Market or McDonald’s drive thru at Main and Gilbert. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her generous and loving ways, her smile, laughter and gentleness. She is remembered for her commitment to turning her life around through tremendous dedication to and support of her daughter, her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, her daughter and her sister, Tracy Hildebrand-Darvish, all of Mesa, AZ, her extended family in El Cajon, CA, York, NE and Tucson, AZ, many co-workers and friends. A memorial service celebrating Paula’s life is scheduled for Sunday, October 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 2024 E. University Dr., Mesa, AZ 85213. Memorials are suggested, in lieu of flowers, to Hoop of Learning at Mesa Community College or United Food Bank of Mesa, AZ.
