Paul was a veteran in the US Marines. After the marines he met and married Cherie. They were blessed with two daughters, Connie and Paula. In 1971 he joined the Mesa Police Department and retired 21 years later. He later worked for Mesa Community College as a Public Safety Officer and Office Coordinator.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Fred (Skip) Springall and Steve Springall. Paul is survived by his loving wife Cherie; his daughters Connie (Steve) Diepstraten and Paula (Joe) Johnston; his grandchildren Zack Diepstraten, Masin Johnston and Morgan Johnston; his sisters Janet Turbin and Joyce Staley; his sister-in-law Becky Bates as well as six nieces and four nephews.
An informal Memorial Party will be held for Paul on his 70th birthday Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 2:30 PM Military and Police Department Presentation at Royal Garden Reception Hall 1940 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85203.
