Patricia Lyon Burkett

She was born June 20 1931 in Butler PA to James Howe Lyon and Celia Texture Lyon as 1 of 5 children.

In 1953 she was married to the late Louis Burkett and they had 2 daughters, Rebecca and Bonnie.

Pat retired from the Mesa Public School district after many years of service as a school bookstore Manager in Mesa Arizona.

She spent many years volunteering for schools and hospitals in Utah, New Mexico, Alaska and Arizona.

She enjoyed traveling to many countries including England, China and Japan and interacted with the local residents.

Patricia is survived by her sister Alene L. Campbell and brother Samual W. Lyon both of Butler PA

Her 2 daughters Rebecca De-Graw and her husband Donald De-Graw, and Bonnie Shourd and her husband Thomas Shourd of Phoenix AZ.

In addition there are 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren who knew her as "Nana" & "Nana G.G."

Patricia and Louis were founding members of the Church of the Master United Presbyterian Church in East Mesa and Pat sang in the choir as solo and duets.

Her kind spirit and generosity to her family, friends and others will be missed and cherished by all those who knew her.
