Norma Jane Gordon

Norma was born in a small farm house May 28,1933 , Clinton County, Ohio the first child of Carroll and Nellie Berryhill. After graduating from Bellbrook High School in Ohio she met John Lowell Gordon. Both worked at Wright Pattersen Air Force Base, Norma as a secretary. They married April 18, 1953 and enjoyed many happy years together until John's death in 2010.

While living in Pennsylvania, Texas and Arizona dear friendships were formed as they taught Round Dancing locally and also while traveling to festivals in the western states. They loved hosting friends in their home. Norma was musically gifted in playing the piano and organ. Also an expert seamstress in making her dancing dresses. As a resident at Leisure World in Mesa for over 25 years she considered her friends and neighbors as extended family and often expressed how much she loved them.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, John and brother Robin Lee.

She is survived by her sister Marilyn Davis, nephews Kip and Jay Davis and several great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Acoya Mesa and Aegis Hospice for the loving care given to Norma during her time of declining health.

Graveside services will be held Friday May 26th 10:30 A.M. at Mariposa Memorial Gardens 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ.
