Mildred Jean Boyd Jensen of Tempe passed away peacefully in her sleep in Lindon, Utah on September 25th, 2021. She passed away on the eve of her 91st birthday. We had a party planned but she had other ideas. She was reunited with her husband Sherman LaGrande Jensen. Sherman and Mildred were married on January 2, 1951, in the Salt Lake Temple. She spent her youth growing up in New Jersey. She graduated from Metuchen High School in 1949.
Mildred was born to James Lyman Boyd and Pearl Frances Messeroll. She had two older brothers, Fred and Kenneth and she had two younger brothers Mel and Bill. Most of her married life was spent in Arizona which she loved, especially her home located in Tempe. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In her younger years she spent a lot of time serving others. Mildred loved her family most of all and love having family get togethers and spending time with her children and grand-children.
She is survived by six children; Margie, Jim, Dwight, Brent, Kenny, and Glen; 21 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
