Michael Patrick Pindell, 62, Sept. 23, 2024 in Marietta, Georgia went to be with the Lord after a long battle with health issues. He is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Jeanne; his four siblings, Sandy, Dee-Dee, Laura, Bill; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
“Mikie” was the youngest of five children from Bill and Sandra Pindell. He grew up in Indiana on five acres where he would frequently play Cowboys and Indians eventually breaking out the barn window to “target” his siblings outside acting as the Indians. This was the beginning of many battles he would fight later in real life. He eventually moved to California with his family where he would earn his high school diploma. He would go on to join the Marines and see first-hand destruction from the war where many of his friends would pass away. These memories caused Mike tremendous grief throughout life, but he would continue to fight new battles that arose throughout the years. Not surprisingly, he picked himself back up and enrolled in college to major in Computer Science. This enabled him to work at Cash America installing systems as a MIS Director.
Eventually, he moved from Arizona to Georgia with his girlfriend, Jeanne, and there he would spend the next 22 years. For many years, he had a successful web business called “Dynamite Sites.” He then opened a business “Marine with a Hammer” and took great pride as a carpenter while building decks and remodeling homes.
Eventually, he received news that his kidneys were failing, but he wouldn’t let it stop him or slow him down as this was just one more battle. He was determined to keep his hobbies such as camping in his backyard, pitching tents, building fires, and cooking food on the campfire. Early on he would ride his Harley for the freedom it brought with Jeanne riding right beside him. His sisters, Laura and Sandy, flew out to aid him in his fight to stay alive. After six years of dialysis and many medical complications, his body succumbed to his illness with Jeanne lovingly by his side. God declared it was his last battle, and he now lies in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ...
Mikie is affectionately remembered as loving and always optimistic. He was a fighter. This took bravery, strength, and determination. At the same time, he was so much fun, and we all loved his quirky sense of humor, generosity, and endless love of animals, specifically Lucy, the adopted dog he picked out to keep him company. Rest in peace, Mike. You will forever live in our hearts until we join you in heaven.
A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206.
