Micah Anthony Barrett left us to be with Jesus on Monday, June 20, 2011. Micah is survived by his loving parents, Bryan and Julie Barrett, and his brother, Matthew Barrett. His father wrote this poem for him,
Anticipation
Anticipation…we hear his little heart beat.
Look, see his little body grow.
Small as one’s pocket watch,
he is being formed.
Created in places dark,
under pulse of mothers heart.
Life beginning, wonder of God,
Miracle of all.
Known of God as Micah,
he’s our second son.
Love to kiss his little face,
yet held from heav’n above.
Anticipation…to hear and see him once again;
heavens side complete our Joy.
Eye’s with wonder, Father’s side,
his life eternal home.

Though the days seemed long…
sometimes hour by hour…
we will never forget our cherished time…
from our days with Micah.
“…all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16
