Born November 9, 1924 of Kansas City Kansas, graduated from Wyandotte High School. Melba, preceded by her parents Myrl Estelle Bryan and Ralph E. Bryan, and siblings Ellsworth Welch, Dorothy and Robert Bryan of Kansas City, Kansas. Her husband of 64 years, Dean W. Metcalf Sr., Mesa Arizona and joining their beloved new born twins David and Patricia Metcalf in heaven. Surviving children, Dean W. Metcalf Jr. and wife Phyllis Metcalf of Gilbert Arizona. Daughter Barbara Jean Metcalf-Lamble, and husband Michael Lamble of Gladstone, Missouri. Daughter Becky Metcalf-Gurnick and husband Steven Gurnick of Cave Creek, Arizona. Melba Loved and adored her nine grandchildren; Kristen, James, and Steven of daughter Barbara. Justin, Andrew, Katherine, and David of daughter Becky. Her son Dean W. Metcalf Jr., Grant and Daniel Metcalf. Along with her twelve beautiful great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in building and contracting homes for over three decades. After retiring, they relocated to Mesa, Arizona for the citrus and sunshine in the desert southwest. They both enjoyed their golden years traveling to over 49 states, Canada and Mexico. Their love for their children and grandchildren resonated throughout their life.
