Mary Jo Rivette

Mary Jo Rivette, 69 from Clarkston Michigan and Mesa Arizona passed away August 11, 2023 from cancer. She fought a good fight but succumbed to this nasty disease. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Marie Clark. Also proceeded by her best friend Linda Elmy.

She left behind her husband Patrick Rivette, daughter Gayle (Tony) Mcbride and grandson Gavin. She is also leaving behind the love her very special dogs Milo and Marley.

Also her stepdaughter Katie Rivette (Dan Kolatz), step granddaughter Hailee Ridgeway,and stepson Brian Rivette. Siblings Kathy (Denny) Schrader, Diane (Larry) Bugbee, Debby (Chip) Campbell) and Bill (Michelle ) Clark also many nieces and nephews with many great nieces and nephews. Best friends Barb (John) Tabb and Naomi (Ed).

Mary Jo was a lover of nature and loved to camp, bike and hike throughout the years. She also loved gardening and opened a small gardening business after she retired. She bought two vintage trailers (a 1963 and 1964) and enjoyed camping by herself with Tin Can Tourists and then with Sisters on the fly camping groups. In 2021 they moved to Mesa Arizona and sold her home in Clarkston Michigan. At 65 she bought a motorcycle which she just truly loved and totally enjoyed. She loved going up in the mountains with her Arizona friends on the motorcycles.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206.
