Marilyn Ingersoll Golly, 94, met her Heavenly Father on 29, November 2014, peacefully with her family present. Almost a century ago, Marilyn was born in Fair Haven, New York to Elizabeth and Calvin Chapin Ingersoll. After high school graduation she married Ralph WalkingStick who shortly after passed away in service to his country. Marilyn Later married Winslow George Golly, Sr. Tired of New York's chilly weather, one snowy day, she shut her eyes, stuck a pin in a US Map, and the family was off to sunny Arizona, where they would raise three sons and love one another for over 50 years. Marilyn was first and foremost... a dancer! She taught tap and ballroom dance and took great pride in entertaining others with Prancing Grannies of Mesa, Arizona. The Gollys enjoyed worldwide travel. When at home, Marilyn was a ferocious knitter and a wonderful baker. She was famous for her delicious lemon cake-top pudding. She published several volumes of poetry, showcasing her love of nature and twinkly sense of humor. Left to remember their mother are sons: Winslow Golly Jr. (Melanie), Mark WalkingStick (Peggy), Lynn Golly (Cristie). She also leaves many grand and great grandchildren. Treasuring family relationships, Marilyn valued her many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be remembered always. Her loving legacy will be forever in our hearts.
