Marcia Louise Wentzel, 45, born February 5, 1969 in Sterling, IL to David and Judith [Barnnet] Lowe and Caitlin Elizabeth Wentzel, 11, born August 13, 2002 in Atlanta, Georgia to Joseph and Marcia [Lowe] Wentzel, passed away on April 21, 2014 in Mesa, AZ.
Marcia was a devoted wife and mother and her life was centered around placing Caitlin first. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1990. She worked for 11 years with State Farm in Georgia and Illinois. Marcia was very athletic and enjoyed swimming and running. Marcia always put others ahead of herself. She was beautiful, brave and dedicated. Her spirit will live in others She married in 1998 and is survived by her loving husband Joseph Thomas Wentzel, her parents David and Judith Lowe; siblings Cynthia (Tom) Foley, John (Holly) Lowe and Jeff (Angie) Lowe.
Caitlin was a ray of sunshine, had a beautiful and contagious smile, was very intellectually curious, read above her grade level and had a passion to learn. She attended an online schooling program with Carpe Diem. Caitlin enjoyed learning about cultures, reading, art and swimming. Caitlin had innate ability to connect with people through empathy for others. Caitlin is survived by her loving father Joseph Thomas Wentzel, her maternal grandparents David and Judith Lowe; paternal grandparents Maureen and James Wentzel; uncles Tim (Lisa Abrams) Wentzel and Jamie (Robin) Wentzel and her service dog and best friend Keller.
A celebration of their lives will be held at 9:00 am, on May 1, 2014 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa. Please visit www.mariposagardens.com to leave condolences.
