LuDene was born in Cherokee, Iowa in 1936 and grew up in the beautiful farmlands surrounded by a large amount of family. As a teenager she moved with her parents, Louis and Audrey Bengtson, to Phoenix, Arizona. She attended North High School while learning how to live in this quite different environment, The Valley of the Sun. She met her soulmate and husband, Robert Jackson, and they were married 1953. In the early years of their marriage they lived in California and Michigan, settling back in the Phoenix area permanently in 1968. During that time, LuDene had six children but sadly lost her 3rd child to SIDS. In 1969 she began a 30+ year career with Motorola, starting in the wafer fabs and progressing into the cost accounting department, becoming a systems analyst by the time she retired in 2000.
After retirement, she spent a short few years with Robert before his passing. She then moved forward into the next era of her life. She got to travel, taking multiple trips with family and getting to revisit her childhood home to reconnect with family in Iowa. She was instrumental in supporting the Motorola retirees club, holding several of the elected positions. She spent much quality time with her gaming partners playing Mahjong, Hand and Foot, poker and many more. She also stepped out of her box by taking to the stage in few plays in her community.
