Lorene was born on February 7, 1927 in Seattle, WA to John and Delfina (Oberto) Rovetto.
She was raised in Ronald, WA in a close knit and loving community of family and friends. This small town foundation formed numerous lifelong friendships. Lorene attended the University of Washington where she pursued her studies as a Dietician, as well as learning about the world and the lives of the people in it.
Lorene was married at Holy Rosary Church in Seattle to Arthur M. Casey, and they were married for almost 53 years. Lorene and Art enjoyed lives full of experiences and love. A consummate business woman, she and Art owned motels prior to settling into their passions of ranching and family. Friends and family will remember Lorene’s impeccable hostessing of holiday dinners and gatherings. Lorene was an avid reader who would have multiple novels going at any one time. She also enjoyed, cooking, baking and traveling: Including traveling with her Mother and Brother to Italy visiting family and exploring her Italian heritage.
Upon retirement, she and Arthur became snow birds: exploring the USA and wintering in Arizona, which would become their home. Lorene was passionate about her Italian roots, and enjoyed a spirited membership in the Bilotti lodge Italian Club, Catholic Daughters, New Frontiers Senior Group, and was an Active Catholic. She loved to laugh, play pranks, talk politics, play cards, and was unbeatable at scrabble!
With all of her experiences, her one true passion and favorite pastime was her family. Lorene was not only a wonderful Mother to her Children and Grandchildren, but also a mentor, roll model, life coach, counselor, and cheerleader. Whether, Mom, Aunty Lory, Grandma, GiGi, or simply the Best of Friend, Lorene will most be remembered for the Love, Caring and Nurturing of everyone she came into contact with. The world is truly a better place and we who knew her are better people because of her and the love and kindness she shared without limit.
