Loraine Catherine Clark passed away on January 11, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Rochester, Minnesota to Charles and Catherine Oberle, Loraine arrived on July 1, 1929. She had an adventurous spirit that shined brightly in the life she lived. She married the love of her life, Lloyd Clark, after he returned from WWII. They spent a wonderful life embracing each day together, until he passed away in 1994. She worked beside her husband in the auction and livestock business. Loraine also owned a travel bureau , and financed furniture businesses. Traveling was a passion of Loraine’s, near and far, her journeys always brought joy to her heart. She visited the Orient, trekked the plains of Africa, and took a voyage to Russia. One of her most memorable trips was her excursion to Israel, where when the plane landed it was surrounded by armed militia. Loraine wasn’t the least bit frightened. She loved travel so much, she decided to get her pilot’s license. She also enjoyed taking rides on Harleys. In fact, there wasn’t much Loraine wouldn’t try. She gave a go at riding a camel, and then an ostrich. The zip-line in Mexico was no challenge for her, she rode it with a breeze. A favorite family memory is when Loraine put a huge python on her neck, she never showed fear. Her dog, Missy, was the light of her life. There was nothing she did without Missy by her side. She loved her jewelry, and coordinating her clothes. Being grandma was a bright point in Loraine’s life, you just couldn’t call her Grandma.
