Linda Rose Blessing, age 72, passed away at Hospice of the Valley Friendship Village in Mesa on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born August 10, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio to Sydney Gearhart and Rose Gearhart nee. Higgins, who preceded her in death.
She Graduated from Libbey High School in 1958. She attended Glendale Community College, where she received an Associates Degree with a concentration in Psychology. She was a legal secretary for many years, among being a homemaker to her family. For the past 44 years she has resided in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Left to cherish her memory is loving husband of 44 years, Lee Blessing; children, Stephen (Lori) Walter, Sharon (David) Kachenmeister; step children Michael (Linda) Halpin, Cynthia (Louie) DeAngelis, Keith (Crystal) Halpin, brother Charles (Carol) Gearhart, grandchildren, Michael (Malerie) Kachenmeister, Sean Kachenmeister, Rylee Walter, 7 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren, two nieces Martha and Elaine Brown and one nephew Robert Brown. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Brown and step-daughter Gale Curtis.
Linda cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren who brought her much joy. She touched the lives of many people with her smile, generosity, and sense of humour. Linda had a heart for animals and almost always had a canine family member.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects to the family on Friday, February 22, 2013, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power, Mesa, AZ 85206.
