Surrounded by her family Lee Bodkin passed away on January 12, 2011 after a long battle with emphysema. Lee was born to Bessie Mullen Briggs on July 11, 1930. Lee her mother and grandmother came to Phoenix in 1945. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School where she was a Majorette, in the dance club. She met her husband Neal (deceased) and they married in 1953. They settled and raised their family in Mesa. Lee was a proud member of the Elks Club, Moose Lodge and the Legion. Lee worked and volunteered her time at the Mesa Elks where she won Member of the Year twice. She also received the honor of being the first women Elks member of the year. When she was not busy with other activities she truly loved her BINGO. Lee is survived by her four children Tim Bodkin, Lorrie Stonecipher, Lyle Bodkin, and Kevin Bodkin, grandchildren David, Manny, Alex, Sam, Ricky, Allen, Lucas, Brezzy, Austin and Lorrie, and Great Grandchildren Emmie, Serenity, David, Taylor, Grace, Aiden, Brandon, Raven, Alexandra, Seth, Emily, and Ryder.
