Larry Cromwell, 77, of Gold Canyon, AZ passed away November 22, 2018. He was born April 8, 1941 in San Diego, CA to Howard and Audrey [Carter] Cromwell, and at a very early age, the family moved to Somerton, AZ where he spent most of his life. Larry was a devoted family man and could fix anything; to the family, he was their "Superman”. He enjoyed cooking, especially making Italian dishes and also liked being outside, cooking on the grill. Larry loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, going shooting & hunting with his son and grandson.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years, being honorably discharged on September 5, 1962. Larry was married to the love of his life, Joy on March 15, 1968 and started their family and raised three children, David, Melanie and Denise. He worked most of his life as a heating and air conditioning technician in the Civil Service industry and later was promoted to supervisor, which took him and Joy to Naples, Italy for 15 years. After his time in Italy, Larry and Joy relocated back to Arizona, where he lived for the last 10 years.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joy; son, David Cromwell; daughters, Melanie and Denise Cromwell; his grandson, Cameron Breck; his sisters, Sharon Booth (Cromwell), Karen Shedlock (Cromwell) and Penny Bell (Cromwell); his uncle Ken Carter and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road in Mesa, AZ.
