Kevin Roy Lakey

Kevin Lakey was born on August 12, 1968, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to his parents Don and Anita Lakey. The family moved to Mesa, Arizona, where Kevin and his older sister Pamela Brown grew up. At the age of 18 Kevin married the love of his life, Christine, and had two wonderful sons Thomas Lakey and Joshua Lakey. They were to celebrate their 24th anniversary in April. Kevin, being an avid archery hunter, spent a lot of his free time trekking across the wilderness in search of his next challenge. When his sons were old enough they joined him and fell in love with nature themselves. He was a founding member of the Ultimate Archer website. He was employed by Safeway for 22 years, first starting as a warehouse employee and advancing to a human resource advisor position in the district office. Kevin made friendships with everyone he met. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Kevin left us on March 4, 2012, at the age of 43. The memories shared with him will last forever. A memorial service will held on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring of Life Church 1330 South Crismon Road Mesa, Arizona 85209.
