Spc. Kevin Christopher Kennerson, 21, a native of Mesa, Arizona, passed away in Grafenwoehr, Germany on July 27, 2015. Kevin was a 21st Theater Sustainment Command Soldier who served as a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the 317th Support Maintenance Company, 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, part of the TSC’s 16th Sustainment Brigade. Kevin was a dedicated and talented young Soldier that inspired his fellow Soldiers and the leaders within the command and we are saddened by his loss,” said Col. Michelle Letcher, the 16th SB commander. “His selfless service and dedication to our profession were evident through his support to sustaining a ‘Strong Europe.’
Kevin was a big gamer and his siblings would call him Master Sergeant after the character on his favorite video game, HALO. He also enjoyed spending time playing paintball and airsoft.
He is survived by his father, John (Jennifer) Kennerson, and mother, Tammy (Gabriel Matthew) Morrison; brothers Jason Terran Kennerson and Nicholas Kennerson; sister Abbey Kaylene Kennerson; a half sister Claire Kennerson; his paternal grandparents Jack Kennerson and Teddie (Jim) Aston and his maternal grandparents Larry & Carla Grover.
