Kenneth Brian Ellis passed away on November 11, 2012 from Pulmonary Fibrosis in Mesa, Arizona. Born on February 1, 1966, to Harold and Elva (Hoar) Ellis, in Bellflower, CA. Ken’s loved ones Thank God for loaning him to all of us for 46 years, we are grateful to have had him in our lives for at least that long. Kenny seemed to be in a hurry his entire life. He arrived 3 weeks early, lost baby teeth early, had all permanent teeth when 8 years old. Loved kindergarten, but upset saying “wasted a whole week in school & I still can’t read” (that school taught reading in 1st grade). In little league he was one out of only two 10 year olds drafted to play in majors with 11 and 12 year olds. Kenny loved participating in sports, camping, motorcycle and dirt biking, swimming, boating, skiing, jet skiing and always fishing. While growing up, Kenny could be found playing football in the yard with his younger brother, Jeff. They had amazing sibling rivalry, which helped to build an unbreakable bond. He always watched out for his sister Jaclynn, making sure she was taken care of. Family was always important to Kenny & he was a very patient big brother. Spending time with his nephews brought him great joy. His great sense of humor was enjoyed by those in his presence, he was always extremely comical. Giving people nicknames was one of his favorite past-times. He gave each of his nephews a special name, Christopher was Buckle, Cameron was Cameroni Macaroni & Justin answers to Whack. His friends have been quoted as saying “the party started when Kenny arrived.” During the first Gulf War he was proud to be working for Kaiser Electronics on the Patriot Missile.
Kenny has a generous soul, was a loving Son, caring Brother, adoring Uncle, loyal Nephew & Cousin, and generous friend. To say Kenny had a big heart is an understatement. Ken cared and loved the people in his life and all other people also. He just could not be everywhere to take care of everybody, so now Kenny is a guardian angel finally able to watch over everyone he loved so much. Ken was very committed to the dogs in his life, his last dog Schultz misses him & has taken to sleeping on Kenny's worn clothes. He is survived by his loving parents, Harold and Elva Ellis, brother Jeffrey (Wendy) Ellis, sister Jaclynn Ellis-Galus, Nephews Christopher Galus, Cameron Ellis, and Justin Galus. Aunts & Uncles including Normalene and Keith Taylor, Donna Sinclair and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of life will be held in California on December 1 from 1-5 pm at Jeff & Wendy Ellis' home at 2575 Greenbriar Lane, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
