Julia Mary Bush

Julia Mary Bush, 100, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Born in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Francis (Maressa) Rappo on July 13, 1915, she was the third born to a family that would include eleven brothers and sisters. Julia met the love of her life, Army sergeant Ronald N. Bush in 1941 on a blind date. They married in 1946 and had two children; Linda Saas and Stephanie (Ron) Borruso. Julia will also be cherished by her four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She leaves behind a brother, Stephen Rappo and sister-in-law Debbie Rappo and a plethora of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Julia enjoyed her time in the food service industry and retired at the age of 65. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona. Staying active, she volunteered at Banner Baywood Hospital and in the Multigenerational Center until her nineties.
