Judith Kaye Gills (Judy) passed away on March 5, 2015, at the home she shared with her husband, Tony. Judy was born November 22, 1959 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Wayne W. Potts, Sr. and Dora I Rich. She married Tony Gills on November 11, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Gills and her mother, Dora Rich of Mesa, AZ. Judy was the loving mother of Shayne Potts (Heather) and Richard Rapp of Mesa, AZ., Jennifer Rapp of Scottsdale, AZ., and two step-sons, Jacob and Keith Gills of Phoenix, AZ. She was also the proud grandmother of Kassidy, Preston and Athena Potts, and her grandson, Ian Gills.
Judy is also survived by her three sisters, Machelle Bloomfield, (Bill) of Williamsport, Indiana, Kellie Cowan of Mesa, AZ, Amanda Schreiber, (Steven) of Prescott, AZ and one brother, Wayne W. Potts, Jr., (Vickie) of Washington, Illinois and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne W. Potts, Sr.,nephew, Bob Bloomfield, uncle, Lester Knight, cousins, Fanchon Knight and Linda Irwin Moore and her faithful dogs, Loki and Kilo.
Judy was a kind, generous, loving person with a huge heart and an independent mind. She was a loyal friend to many. Judy's dog, Shiloh along with her family and friends miss her tremendously.
Judy worked as and Inspector at Nammo Talley in Mesa, AZ until she retired after becoming ill.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Mariposa Gardens with close friends and family in attendance.
