Joe Munoz Perez, 79, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 in Gilbert, Arizona. He was born on July 9th, 1945 and grew up in Kearny, Arizona. Joe was the son of the late Joe D. and Mary (Munoz) Perez.
Joe graduated from Western New Mexico College, and lived most of his life in Rockton, Illinois. He had an impressive career at Pioneer Life Insurance in Rockford from 1977 until retirement. He enjoyed hunting in his early years in Arizona and New Mexico, and then turned to softball, camping, and boating in midlife.
Joe’s greatest joys were his children, Tony and Kelly. He loved attending all of their athletic and cheerleading events and could always be found cheering them on in the stands. He was their constant supporter. Joe is survived by his son Tony (Kendra) Perez of Blue Springs, Missouri and Kelly (Chris) Little of Frisco, Texas.
Joe would tell you that his life’s biggest blessings were his two grandchildren, Josie Perez (19), and Tyson Little (16). They could light up his face with the biggest smile and his pride in them was unwavering.
The family is currently making plans for private services.
