John “Jack” Landolt, age 88, passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2023, in Gilbert AZ. He was born on December 21, 1934, in Longmont Colorado to Fred and Mary Landolt. Being the oldest of nine children, Jack was a family man who enjoyed nothing more than being around his family and friends. Growing up in Longmont his entire life, Jack was a devote member of St. John’s the Baptist Church. After graduation from High School, Jack started his career at Rocky Flats working there for over 30 years, building lifelong friendships and memories until his retirement in 1989.
In November of 1959, Jack married the love of his life Patricia “Pat” and remained happily married for 58 years until her passing in May of 2018. Together they had 5 children loved spending time with his family at the cabin in Red Feather Lakes, fishing and catching rainbow trout. He was very active in the Moose, Ducks Unlimited and an avid supporter of his children in 4-H where he was known to sport some crazy outfits for parents’ night.
In retirement, he loved to spend time with his wife taking new adventures, checking items off their bucket list, and traveling. There wasn’t a happy hour he wasn’t hosting or attending where he was actively socializing with his friends. He was never happier than sitting at the lake fishing with his granddaughters. Their adventures took them to AZ, where they fell in love with the warmth and beauty of the desert landscape which turned them into snowbirds in 2001, and eventually full-time residents to their beloved DollBeer Ranch (BrightHaven Estates) in Mesa AZ in 2013 where they made the most of their retirement.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia, parents Mary and Fred, daughter Vicky, and siblings Jean, JoAnn, and Jim.
He leaves behind his children John, Mike, Sue Hazel (Skip), and Debby Ball (Andy); his grandchildren Christian, Rochelle, Reagan and Shailynn Ball, Dori Landolt, Alton and Nicole Hazel, 7 great-grandchildren, and siblings Tom (Patti), Dave (Joanne), Jeanette, Nancy, Margie, Carol and Fran.
A Memorial Service followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 1:00pm just outside of Firestone, Colorado at The D Ranch: 9348 County Road 24, Ft. Lupton
