John Linn “Jack” Beahr, 92, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on October 6, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1930, in Homer City, Pennsylvania. Jack was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Jack proudly served in the Navy from 1948 to 1950. Following his honorable military service, Jack embarked on a successful career at Stroh Brewery Company in Detroit, Michigan.
Outside of his professional life, Jack found solace and joy in his hobbies. He was a skilled wood carver, pouring his heart and soul into creating intricate pieces of art. Golfing was another passion of his, where he found relaxation and camaraderie on the greens. He also had his pilot’s license for a short time and enjoyed the freedom and fun of flying.
Jack will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 74 years, Pauline Katherine Guilfoyle Beahr, his daughter Sandra (Craig) Brown, his son-in-law Ronald Borges and his grandchildren, Jennifer (Troy) Duncan, Shannon (Mark) Heinze, Angela Borges, Elizabeth (Cory) Garcia, Dawn (Josh) Bitton and Matthew Brown. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Linn Borges, his mother Virginia Prato Beahr and his father Linn Hill Beahr.
Jack’s legacy extends to his great-grandchildren Braelyn, Andrew, Zachary, Reagan, Blake and Gage, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their beloved great-grandfather.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members to honor Jack’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Diabetes Association in Jack’s memory.
