75, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on October 6, 2014. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on December 8, 1938 to Louis Salazar and Oclires Gallegos. Joe attended La Junta High School in LaJunta Colorado. He married Isabel M. (Olguin) Salazar on November 22, 1958. Joe worked as a foreman in the construction industry. He was an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Joe loved life. He enjoyed woodwork, creating things with his hands, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Most importantly, Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone. He was a kind, gentle and patient man and was always there whenever anyone needed him. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Isabel Salazar; sons, Gary Salazar, Phillip Salazar and Nathan Salazar; daughters, Debra Garcia and Jeanie Martinez, his 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Robert Salazar, Eddie Salazar, Johnny Cordova; and sisters, Orcelia Ramirez, Albie Gonzales, Elizabeth Valdez and Judy Medina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Salazar and Oclires Gallegos; brothers, Orlando Salazar, Alfred Salazar, Louis Salazar and Serafin Salazar; and his daughter Debra Kay Salazar. Joe will be forever missed by the many family and friends who loved him so very much, but they will all have the great memories he left behind.
