Joanne Rita Rednall, age 68, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on July 2, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in New Ulm, Minnesota on September 4, 1953 and raised in Glenwood, Minnesota where she spent her entire childhood.
Family meant everything to Joanne; her love of family was deep and enduring. Her love for her children and grandchild was beyond measure; always supportive and encouraging, wanting only the best for them. She was always wise and kind, selfless, and so deeply proud of them all. That’s what she lived for (even the family dog Roxie was cherished by her).
What made Joanne unique was she cared for people and had the ability to make them feel special. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She was well loved by many and will be so dearly missed.
Joanne started her career with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 375 in Fairbanks, Alaska in the 70’s in which she was always proud of. Their fraternal brotherhood is what guided her career for years to come. This brotherhood treated her like their sister.
Joanne met her husband, Dano, in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska while working for PCI in 1978. The owner John Scott reminded Dano that if he ever broke her heart he would be sent to Seal Island (which meant he would be the only human on this isolated island location). John treated her like a daughter.
Joanne began working for H. C. Price as an Office Manager in Fairbanks, Alaska in the early ‘80’s, eventually advancing to Accounting Manager in the Anchorage corporate office for many years. Her administrative management skills were valued leading her to countless oil and gas projects for both Price and CONAM over the span of 40 years, both in Alaska and the Lower 48.
Her extended family was cultivated while working for Price over those decades in which she made life-long friends. She was always vested in the success of not only the projects that she was assigned to, but the success of each employee on that project. She was a mentor to many. Her dedication to her work and her company were a large part of her life and who she was. Joanne had a strong belief that all people should act with warmth and equality toward one another.
Her recent interest as an avid Women’s NBA enthusiast came unexpectedly, but became a fast passion.
She survived by her family, husband Daniel (Dano) Rednall, son Jerid Rednall from Mesa, Arizona, daughter Sidra Rednall and grandson Kale Stepovich from Palm Desert, California. Brother Kenneth Kollodge and sister-in-law Kathy Kollodge from the Duluth, Minnesota. Brother-in-law Timothy Rednall from Anchorage, Alaska. Brother-in-law Joesph Rednall and sister-in-law MJ Rednall from Mesa, Arizona. Brother-in-law Mark Rednall and sister-in-law Jan Rednall from Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Myrtle Kollodge from Glenwood, Minnesota.
No services will be held per her request.
The Family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
