JoAnn W Ramirez

JoAnn, who was a native to Arizona, graduated from Mesa High School in 1961. She was a member of the Arizona Rainbow Girls, and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Mesa. Her work experience included the Internal Revenue Service and City of Mesa Public Works services, where she worked until she retired at the age of 62. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and camping for many years, and crocheting gifts for expectant mothers for their babies.

JoAnn is survived by her sister Margaret Desenberg, Daughters RaeAnn Hayward (Glen) and Ellen Gurevitz (Bruce), Grandchildren Ashley Bjurstrom (Brian), Jessica Hayward, Nick Gurevitz, Jennifer Hayward, and Michael Hayward. She is predeceased by her parents, daughter Pam Rutkowski, husband Michael P. Ramirez, and partner Kermit Davis.

A private service will be held on May 21, 2021. Visitation for friends wishing to pay their respects will be May 21, 2021 from 2:30-3:30pm at First United Methodist Church of Mesa, 15 E First Avenue, Mesa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church of Mesa.
