Born June 1st,1936 to Jesse A. Wilson and Elisabeth Wilson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he entered the Air Force at age 17 and proudly served for four years. He married, raised a family, worked, and went to college earning his Bachelor’s Degree.
For the last 17 years of his career, he worked for Apollo Colors Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. He retired to Arizona to enjoy the sunshine. He loved to hunt and go fishing. He took trips to Wisconsin, Canada, and the Bahamas. He enjoyed playing golf with his friend, Howard. He was a member of the Elks Club and Lions Club. He was a master at grilling a ribeye steak.
Jesse Mehring Wilson, Senior is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou, his sons, Jesse Junior and Rodney (Jennifer), his daughter, Elisabeth Jewell (Mike), grandchildren Nathan (Savannah), Megan (Warren), Natalie and Destin and three great grandchildren.
A life well lived, a loving heart, a lasting memory. So much to honor, celebrate, remember.
Services will be held at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, located at 23029 North Cave Creek Road, on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11AM. A reception will follow after services conclude.
