Jean Elizabeth Bernett was born and raised on a farm in upstate New York. She was one of eight children of Hazel (Bennett) and Henry Bernett. Jean had five sisters and two brothers. Her parents, one sister and both brothers preceded her in death.
Jean moved to Belleville, Kansas in 1950 where she met and married Lyle Curtis Mosier. To this union two sons were born, Dusty and Marty. With their family growing, they decided to seek more opportunities by relocating.
In 1956, Jean and Lyle moved their family to Phoenix, Arizona in an area close to South Mountain Park where the whole family enjoyed their new home in the desert. They also built a summer cabin near Heber, Arizona which became a family retreat from the summer heat.
Jean retired from Motorola having worked for them for more than 20 years. After Lyle passed away and Jean retired, she made the Heber cabin her summer home and hosted many family and friends gatherings. She enjoyed working in her yard, feeding hummingbirds and Snicker bars.
