Mesa, Arizona: Janet Lynn (Miller) Mac Lean passed away on February 21, 2014 at Hospice of the Valley: Lund Home in Gilbert, Arizona after a 3 year battle with breast cancer. Her family loved her dearly and will miss her extremely wholesome heart and living spirit!
Her wonderful marriage and 26th anniversary to Brian Mac Lean was celebrated with them together by her immediate family members on Valentine's Day: February 14th. A marriage that was structured with complete attention to a mutual and successful loving partnership.
Janet was born on December 11, 1956 at the Kindley AFB Hospital in Bermuda. The daughter of an Air Force family took her to reside in her childhood in Bermuda, Alabama, Illinois, Georgia, Indiana and Wisconsin. She resided in Cambria, Wisconsin as she graduated from Cambria-Friesland Area High School in 1975. She proceeded onward to Madison Business College graduation in Madison, Wisconsin, and employment with Rayovac Corporation Headquarters and State of Wisconsin: Department of Transportation for 17 years. Janet and Brian then moved to Arizona in August of 1997.
She is remembered lovingly by her husband Brian Mac Lean (Mesa, AZ), her father James L. Miller Sr. (Middleton, WI) and her mother Faye (Lockhart) Miller (deceased 2010), her two brothers Scott Miller (Tricia, Lizabeth and Kyle: (Melbourne, FL) and James L. Miller Jr. (Jefferson, WI). Brian's parents and brother: John and Grace MacLean (Appleton, WI) and Stuart MacLean (Potomac Falls, VA).
Janet was fanatical about precision and correctness in her studies, research, writings, and crafts. Anyone who received a letter, note, gift or documentation from her, received a beautifully hand-written straight line correspondence with eloquent detail to clarity, artfulness and exacting information. How different from her skills and abilities of typing speed and shorthand writing......which was highly off the charts! She greatly prized items and memories of her life: her home and home life with her husband Brian, her loving pet birds- Maxie, Joey and Little Pye, her family, her family genealogy research (which did bring long lost disconnected family members together again for meetings and reunions), her expert status as a balloon artist, her trees, plants and flowers, and improving her skills in cooking and crafts education. One of her fondest memories was of her childhood....drinking cold ice cream and coke floats with her parents and brothers, and bike rides with friends to Friesland, WI in the sunshine and warm breezes of summertime. *Oh Janet, we will always miss you sweetheart!
Janet will go home to the Cambria Cemetery at a future time applicable to family wishes.
