Jan Madison, 78, of Tucson and Tempe, AZ passed away on June 4th, 2014. Jan was born and raised in Trenton, MO, as well as Holbrook, AZ. She attended Temple Buell Women's College in Denver, CO where she married Roy Hastings in 1955. She had 5 children: Brian Hastings (Danette), Jeff Hastings, Lise' White (Dean), Colleen Mackey (Ned), and Tom Hastings (Eileen). She also had 10 grandchildren. Jan attended the University of Arizona, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree, and Master’s degree in Counseling. She met Peter Madison at the U of A, and they were married in 1972. Jan worked as a sex counselor in the 70's and 80's, with many clients referred from Thomas Davis Clinic in Tucson, AZ. She attended and presented at a great many sex counseling conferences, including those from Masters and Johnson and the Kinsey Institute. She was published in several trade magazines, but was particularly tickled by an article she published in The Penthouse Forum. Jan moved to Tempe in the 90's, where she retired. She enjoyed living in the Tempe area, and being a part of the ASU campus environment. Her children will remember her in her favorite places: Sabino Canyon and the U of A in Tucson, AZ, San Francisco, CA, and Hawaii.
