Jamie Katherine Gibson

A Celebration of Life will be held 12pm Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the American Legion Post 35 banquet hall, 2240 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler, Arizona. 85224 This will be a potluck; bring a dish to share. Water Tea and Soda will be provided.

Jamie was born March 20, 1972, in Avalon, California, on Catalina Island. In 1978, she moved with her family to Page, Arizona, where she was raised and educated. In 1990, she graduated from Page High School where she was a member of the cheerleading team and a school photographer.

Being born and raised in towns surrounded by water, Jamie enjoyed being outdoors on land or water. She loved hiking, and she loved the ocean. When home, she could often be found gardening in her backyard with dogs Bones and Zoey.

Jamie attended Arizona State University in Tempe and graduated from the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business before embarking on a career in real estate and property management. For the past 22 years, she worked for American Associates Realty, most recently as a managing associate broker in the Property Management Department.

Jamie was preceded in death by her father, James Lewis Hunka, and her mother, Mary Budd Hunka.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie S Gibson, of Chandler, Arizona; two children, daughter Alexa Woods and son Austin Gimber; stepson Cameron Gibson; two brothers, Brad Barnes of Page, Arizona, and Brady Budd and sister in law Pamela of Page; sister Sarah Elliott of Three Rivers, California; sister Jade Hunka of Roseburg, Oregon; her parents-in-law, Jerry and Margie Gibson, brother in laws Jerry Gibson Jr and Justin Gibson, sister in laws Julie Schwenk (Gibson) and Jill Halverson (Gibson) all of Rock Falls Illinois and the many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
