James F. Read, 87, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Mesa, AZ. He was born in Cheyenne, WY.
In 55 years of construction he worked in five states and 58 different towns, which translates to a lot of funny hotels and greasy spoon restaurants—his words.
He is preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Winifred; brother, Robert; and his son, John Henry. Left behind to celebrate the memory of Jim are his wife of 66 years, Frances (Arp) Read; his sister Judith (Read) Brown, his children Martha (Tom) Wyman, Leonard Read, and Elisa McCall. Dear grandpa of John (Breanne), Rachel (Matt), Trevor (Lynnea), Lindsay (Jon), James and Andrew; dear great grandpa of Tobias, Sawyer, Fiona, Alyx, William, Madalynn and Raegyn. A private service will be held.
