James Otto Nielsen

Jim was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but grew up in Carter Lake, Iowa. Jim moved to Arizona in the late 1960’s. Being the hard worker he was, he started his own business, Advance Door, and was a very successful businessman.

Jim had many interests including golf, watching football and basketball. He was a member of the Fifty Club and also Dobson Ranch Golf Association. In 2017 Jim received the Ring of Honor award.

He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Jim was a skilled rider and enjoyed the open road. Some of his favorite places to ride were South Dakota and Colorado.

Jim was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend. Those who knew him, loved him. He was a kind and generous man.

Jim is survived by 2 sons; Keith (Tammy) Nielsen; Gilbert, AZ, Craig (Gina) Nielsen; Mesa, AZ, 1 brother; Dick Nielsen; Mesa, AZ, 1 sister Nancy Bruner; Scottsdale, AZ. 8 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Proceeding him in death are 3 siblings and his parents.

The Celebration of Life will be June 8th from 2pm to 5pm at the Dobson Ranch Golf Course, 2155 South Dobson Rd., Mesa, Arizona 85202.
