James Martin Boggs

James “Jim” Martin Boggs, passed away on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023, at the age of 79. His battle with serious medical issues in the last year showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.

Jim was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He was the tenth of eleven children, and he loved his siblings very much. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1961 and served for 14 years. During that time he was a Coreman during the Vietnam War helping injured soldiers. He met the love of his life Sheila shortly after and knew right away he wanted to marry her. He proposed just ten days after they met, and they were married for 45 years.

Jim is survived by his wife Sheila, his daughters Meredith and Ryan and his grandchildren, Anthony, Noah, Carson, Charlotte and Madison. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

A celebration of life for Jim will be held Friday, April 14th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Melcher Roses, 43 South Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204
