Jack Lyons Hasslinger 96, of Mesa, AZ passed away April 27, 2019. He was born April 21, 1923 in Des Moines, IA to Henry Lair and Flossie Beatrice [Lyons] Hasslinger. He was a faithful husband and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis, watching baseball, especially the Arizona Diamondbacks and being as intelligent as he was, watching Jeopardy and answering all the questions; he also found great joy singing baritone with his church choir. Jack joined the Army Air Corps in January 1943, during World War II and landed in Normandy; he proudly served his country and was honorably discharged in December 1945 at the rank of Corporal. In 1965, he met the love of his life, Beverly Mae Juhl in California at a Parents without Partners event and the two were married in January of 1966. In spring of 2018, Jack received the opportunity of going on the Honor Flight, which was a life changing experience for him. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly Mae Hasslinger; children, Bruce (Ethel) Hasslinger, Debbie Maso, Pattie (Michael) January and Linda Frias; grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael (Kristi), Cameron, Jacob, Jeremy, Alex and Megan; great grandchildren, Cameron and Marshall; his nephew, David and niece, Nancy as well as many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Flossie; his brother, Robert Hasslinger and two children, David and Christopher Olsen.
