In loving memory of Gerald John Fimbres, who passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on March 4, 1975, in the heart of Douglas, AZ, Gerald lived a life rich in love, music, and boundless generosity.
Gerald's journey was one marked by passion and dedication. Graduating from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in July 1995, he embarked on a remarkable career as an Audio Engineering Instructor and later as the Director of Admissions for the same institution, leaving an indelible mark from 1996 until the time of his passing in 2024.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gerald was a multifaceted individual. A gifted songwriter and musician, his melodies resonated with the hearts of those who listened. He found solace and joy in woodworking and the meticulous art of wrenching on automobiles, hobbies that mirrored his meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.
However, what truly set Gerald apart was his selflessness and unwavering commitment to others. His innate ability to connect with people, to lend a helping hand without hesitation, left an enduring imprint on the lives he touched. Whether through his music, his teachings, or simply his presence, Gerald had a rare gift of making everyone feel valued and understood.
Gerald leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Fimbres, and their sons, Joaquin and Maceo, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his father, Rene Fimbres of Silver City, NM, his mother, Rosa Garcia (Chavez) of Douglas, AZ, his brother Anthony Fimbres of Tucson, AZ, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, Tios, and Tias, all of whom cherished him deeply.
