On April 16, Frank Burianek, 91, formerly of St. Paul, passed away in Mesa, Arizona. Survived by beloved wife Dolores of 62 years, children Jeff (Cathy), Mark (Joy), Terry (Karen), Tom (Sheryl), and 15 grandchildren. Frank worked 21 years for the Great Northern Railroad and another 24 years at 3M Co. Was all-city baseball and hockey at Monroe HS. Served in the US Navy during WWII, and was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for participation in capture of the U505 German submarine in the Atlantic. Visitation at Melcher Mortuary 6625 E Main St, Mesa, 2-5pm Sunday, April 19. Funeral Mass celebrated 2pm Monday, April 20 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1244 S. Power Rd, Mesa, Arizona. Burial with military honors later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
