She was born in Chicago Illinois on January 18th 1953. Fran graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in 1971. Fran moved to Arizona in 1978 and worked for a surgeon for 15 years.
She was very involved in her children’s lives and their activities. She had many friends along the way. It was very easy to be friends with Fran. She loved everyone! She was devoted to her Christian faith.
Fran was a warrior and a fighter through sickness in her life. The word miracle has been used to describe her. Fran brought joy, light and happiness to all. Fran is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Dorothy Granata, her husband Steve Jones and her brother Joseph Granata Jr.. She is survived by her daughters and son: Kristen Derbyshire (Bryan), Michelle Bartlett (Rich) and Zane Jones. She has one grandson and two granddaughters: Hudson Derbyshire, AnnaMarie Bartlett and Emmelyn Bartlett. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Lou Flores, Carole King, and sister in law Linda Granata. Fran had numerous nieces and nephews and at her young age of 71, she had the title of great, great, great Aunt.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday March 16th at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 400 South Power Rd. Mesa, Arizona 85206 at 11:00am. Desserts immediately following.
