Eileen McChesney passed away on Wednesday, July 5 in Chandler, Arizona. Eileen was born in Silver Creek, Nebraska to Louis and Anna Vogel . She attended Midland College and obtained a degree in elementary education and later obtained her Masters Degree from the University of Nebraska. Eileen taught grades four, five and six for 35 years. On August 6, 1961 she married William E. McChesney. They resided in Omaha, Nebraska until 1989 when they retired to Arizona. She was an avid “Cornhusker” fan, a member of Retired Teacher’s Association and active in the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Harvey Dlouhy and William McChesney and her brothers, Martin Vogel and Ken Vogel. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Linda Kruse, and her sister Cees (Ron) Eastberg. Her daughter wishes to express her gratitude to Garden Village Group Home for their kindness, love and care. In addition she wants to express appreciation to the Stephen Ministry.
A memorial will be Saturday, August 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the Gardens at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, Arizona.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lakeshore Mortuary.
