She was born on February 10, 1926, to Gilbert and Clara (Meyer) Ellefson at Calvin, North Dakota. Dorothy and her late husband, John lived and worked in North Dakota, Washington, Missouri, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and California before becoming fulltime Arizona residents in 1992.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Olson, her brothers Clarence Ellefson, Garnet Ellefson, Darol Ellefson, Richard Ellefson and sister Phyllis Rinas.
Dorothy is survived by son, Gerald Olson and wife Jill, her daughter Cheryl Dillard and husband Mark, her grandson Scott, and granddaughter Samantha Olson Smith and her husband Jerrod. Her grandchildren were a great source of pride and joy to her. She will be greatly missed.
