Dorothy G. Collins, age 104, passed away October 26, 2011 in Mesa, AZ. Dorothy Geneveieve Holstrom was born January 26, 1907; daughter of John and Hildegard [Anderson] Holstrom in St. Paul, MN where she received her education. She worked in the office of Farwell-Ozmun-Kirk in St. Paul for more than 17 years. She married Donald B. Collins on October 27 1942 at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in St. Paul; they moved to his farm house in Hamilton, N.D., where they farmed. Donald retired in 1980; they spent the winters of 1977 – 1985 in Mesa, AZ. Donald passed away January 22,1986. Dorothy moved to Cavalier in October 1985. She is survived by her son Richard and his wife Loretta of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Michele, Michael, Melissa and Monica; great grandchildren Brandi, Nicholas, Alex, Amanda, Mackenzy, Matthew, Grace and Colton and great great grandchild Bryston. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Eleanor and Helen, brother Leslie and great grandson Jacob. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed at G.A. Lutheran Church in St. Paul. She was a member Hamilton Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women at the church and received a 50 pin from Progressive Homemakers ; member of the Order of Eastern Stars, joining in May of 1926, past Worthy Matron of the Oriental Chapter #187, St, Paul, also Hamilton Chapter #123 of Hamilton, N.D., also was a district deputy twice.
