Donald was born on September 27, 1944 to Malcomb and Elenor Eno. He lost his parents at an early age and was subsequently adopted. Donald married the love of his life, Peggy, on November 13, 1966. He was drafted into the Army and left for basic training 4 days later, at the age of 22. He served in the Army for 3 years, training as a radar repairman. He was deployed to Korea for 13 months, and finished his service tour at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
After leaving the army, Donald worked for 35 years as a test engineer for Motorola.
Don welcomed three beautiful children, Donna Marie, Scott Alan who died in infancy, and Robin Lynette. He raised them with an abundance of love and devotion. He was then blessed with 2 sons in LOVE, four wonderful grandchildren and one amazing great grandson, who were the lights in his life.
Donald enjoyed outdoor family activities such as racing, watching kids sports, camping, and fishing. He especially loved yearly camping and fishing trips with his family at Big Lake. He loved creating gifts using his woodworking and welding skills.
Donald was preceded in death by his son Scott Alan (66 days) and his brother Larry Jones (73 years).
Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Jones, two daughters: Donna Furlong with husband Jonathan Furlong, and Robin Watson with husband Courtney Watson, granddaughter Britney Kolkman, three grandsons; James Furlong with wife Courtney Furlong, Colton Westman, and Trenton Watson, and great grandson: Alexander Kolkman.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow; 2540 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202.
