Dennis Ray Marquez

Dennis Ray Marquez, 48, was born on June 22, 1963 in Pueblo, Colorado, to Sadie Aragon and William Marquez. He passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2012 in Scottsdale, Arizona surrounded by family and friends.He is preceded in death by his mother Sadie and his brother Leslie; survivors include his sister and brother-in-law: Cindy and Carl Wilson, Brother William (Arnold) Marquez and sister-in-law Carla, and his father: William Albert Marquez and step-mother Sue; and his beloved step-father: Tony Caratachiea and his wife Teresa. Dennis had two nephews: Danny and Billy Wilson and several aunts and uncles. He had many other family members and dear friends.

He was greatly loved by all and will be missed by many, a true optimist and friend. He would say never judge a book by its cover and did the same of the people he met throughout his life.Dennis had several animals of his own, two dog’s named “Smokey” I and II, a couple of ally cats named Diablo and Diablo Jr.

Visitation for Dennis will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm, at Melcher Chapel of Roses, 43 S. Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204. Funeral mass will be on Monday, February 20, 2012 at St. Daniel the Prophet Parish, 1030 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
