Tempe – Damion Christopher Thomas-Stevenson, 20, of Tempe, passed away February 13, 2024, near his home. He was born in Mesa, Arizona to Elizabeth Stevenson and Curtis Thomas. Damion was raised by his mom who made sure he was loved, cared for, and provided a good education to give him every opportunity. Damion was devastated at the passing of his mom and her passing impacted his life greatly.
Damion attended Farmington High School, Farmington, MO until his Junior Year and was an Honor Roll student. He was also in the Men’s Choir. He moved to Phoenix to live with Uncle Pat and Aunt Jill, and he graduated from North High School, Phoenix, AZ in 2021. Damion attended ASU for three semesters. He loved to work out and spent many hours at Planet Fitness near his home. He was planning on joining the military soon. Damion was an organ donor (unknown to us) and he was able to donate a part of himself to help someone still living.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Stevenson. Damion is survived by his grandparents, Neil and Carlynn Stevenson, one uncle, Patrick (Jill Diamond) Stevenson, his father, Curtis Thomas, and sisters, Chanowa and Carolina; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Advantage Melcher’s Chapel of the Roses in Mesa, AZ, Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Service will be provided from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. by Ronda Moreno-Berkey, Celebrant/officiant.
During the service we will be welcoming both family and friends to share a testament and memory of how Damion shared his life with you.
After the service, the family invites you to join them at The Hub at 1860 S. Stapley Drive, south of Advantage Melcher Roses.
